Brain Boosting Breakfast for the Working Gal
It's officially September, and I couldn't be happier! Not only is it the birthday month of my husband AND my son, but it’s a month that (for me) declares the end of the crazy summer travel schedule, and the start of a super productive fall. I love this time of year for many reasons, but mainly because I always seem to get super motivated to work and grow my business this time of year. My son goes back to pre-school, things slow down a bit, and it’s the perfect pocket in between summer and the winter holidays that allows for great focus and business growth.
One of my favorite ways to get in the mood is starting my morning off healthy! I LOVE making smoothies, and this brain-boosting smoothie below is no exception.
This smoothie’s brain-boosting secret is that it is packed with Ashwagandha, a powerful herb that rejuvenates without actually being a stimulant. Ashwagandha is a potent root, calming the body’s physiological and nervous systems.
This mineral-dense adaptogen aids the thyroid, soothes anxiety, improves sleep and contributes to virility.
As efficient as this smoothie is, it was high time that I found a blender that was just as powerful. Nothing is worse than blending a smoothie, only to have it come out chunky!
I was so happy when I came upon this blender by Crux at Macy’s. Their entire line’s design is what hooked me first (love the copper detailing found in their entire line), but has great features and is super functional, especially when you are a busy woman and need it blended fast! And since my entire LIFE seems to happen in my kitchen and it’s where I do a ton of entertaining, I was pumped to find a kitchen line that was actually functional and stylish! Nothing is worse than the eye- sore of a clunky piece of kitchen ware on your counter all day.
I also tested out the convection oven; it’s great for the morning as well because it allows for me to get perfectly toasted sprouted bread while I’m finishing off the smoothie. The oven is easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store and super modern.
They have some other great products as well. I am really wanting to try out the espresso maker, as it looks super sleek and efficient. I also love the way this toaster and coffee maker look as well! To see these favs in action, as well as the smoothie recipe, scroll below!
