Holiday Party Dresses + Family Christmas Photos

I’m so excited for the Christmas this year! Our tree is up, stockings hung, and I have just a few more things to decorate! We are doing Christmas in LA this year. Although I will miss our families, I am excited to wake up in our home with Santa this year, and excited for the parade they have in our neighborhood.

Also with Christmas come parties! From work to family to friend festivities, there are a million excuses to get dressed up. If I’ve learned anything in the past about dressing for the holidays it’s that you need to start shopping early. It seems like a lot of holiday parties hit at the end of in early to mid December (and I’m not complaining!) so you should start thinking about your wardrobe early to get the best pieces.

Lace is one of my favorite looks for the holidays. It’s always the first thing I search when I’m shopping online. It’s such a show-stopper and is so flattering on everyone, so the holidays are the perfect excuse to wear that beautiful lace dress– plus there are so ways to wear lace you are bound to find something you love!

I found this one and was instantly taken. I loved how chic it looked, but at an amazing price point (it also comes in a shorter version HERE). I got this dress for our family Christmas card photos and so glad I did. It also went well with Camden's adorable plaid suit (found here, here and here)

ME: DRESS (Although Topshop usually runs small on me, this dress actually ran true to size) / SHOES (ON SALE) / EARRINGS / LIPSTICK (in color PERFECT RED) JOHN: TOP / TIE / PANTS / SHOES
CAMDEN: TOP (on sale) / JACKET / PANTS (on sale) / SHOES (on sale) SIMILAR HERE and HERE / BOWTIE   Photos by SKIP HOPKINS

I also ordered this burgundy dress for another event – I loved the subtle burgundy tones with the more conservative but still sexy silhouette. I also had my eye on this fun sequin dress for New Years Eve. I also love green dresses for the holidays, this formal one and this cocktail one are another great option for the holidays. I love this one because it's a fabulous red color, and how amazing is this one?! Below are a few more perfect dresses for the holidays just because I can’t get enough. :)
