086: How Allie Casazza Intentionally Went Viral and Built a 7-Figure Business in 18 Months

If you’ve ever felt intimidated by the elusive unicorn that is virality, then today’s episode is for you.

I’m talking with Allie Casazza, who built a 7-figure business that allows her to work just 15 hours each week, all about how she intentionally created a viral article.

Unlike a lot of people who think going viral is “just getting lucky,” Allie has a different perspective on the topic—one that I think will inspire you to rethink your approach to content creation. Allie knew she wanted to write a viral post and set out to make it happen. She spent weeks studying the anatomy of viral articles and carefully crafting hers. And guess what? She succeeded.

It took a couple weeks to gain traction but when it did, her email list exploded from 1,500 to 25,000 subscribers in two days and even got her locked out of ConvertKit!

But it gets even crazier. Allie’s post started trending over the first presidential debate for the 2016 elections—which, coming from a publicity background, I can assure you is insane. To this day, that one post remains a top source of traffic and growth.

On today’s episode of The Influencer Podcast, Allie reveals exactly how she did it.

We also chat about:

  • How she built a 7-figure business that allows her to work just 15 hours each week

  • Why keeping her price point low actually helps her earn more

  • How she overcome major money blocks and limiting beliefs in her business and life
